Our story
Welcome to Cityscapes! Our journey began with a simple act of love and a passion for gardening. My mum has always had a green thumb, so when I brought her some soil from a local supplier, it was no surprise that her garden flourished. The vegetables she grew were not only beautiful but also delicious.
Family members visiting our home couldn't help but notice the vibrant veggies and soon started asking for her gardening secret. Her answer was always the same: the veggie mix I had brought her. Before long, uncles, aunties, grandparents, and even their neighbors were asking for a load of that magical soil.
Seeing the demand, I seized the opportunity and started making deliveries with my dad's trusty trailer and our 90s Prado. Advertising on Facebook, I gradually saw the growth of my small side hustle. Whenever someone asked what I did for work, I'd shyly respond, "Oh, I sell soil."
I started this venture at 16, making after-school deliveries until I graduated. But that was just the beginning. Now in university studying engineering, I recently achieved my "unrealistic goal" of owning a small tipper to make my life easier. No more shoveling loads of soil by hand!
Today, Cityscapes offers a range of services, including aggregates supply, waste removal, spoil cartage, landscaping, and excavator hire with our 1.7T digger. Balancing these responsibilities with my studies and social life, I thrive on the chaos and wouldn't have it any other way.
None of this would have been possible without the unwavering support of my incredible family and, of course, the grace of God. We're proud of how far we've come and excited about what the future holds.
